Account Executive

Job Description

    This commissioned sales position requires a capable sales Account Executive with a strong technical background as well as the commercial skills to discover new opportunities in a defined territory and/or list of named accounts.
    You will be responsible for influencing and advocating Acerta based solutions to meet customer needs and translate customer requirements into new business opportunities for Acerta. Complex engagements will require a strong strategic thinker, working side by side with the customer to help them transform their business to lead in the competitive automotive marketplace. Successful relationships will result in executive level trusted advisor status which should drive our relevance, preference and pull for our strategic focus areas.
    This role also requires an individual to work collaboratively as part of a larger selling team which includes the support of application engineers, project managers, marketing personnel, and channel partners.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of customer facing experience in applications or customer support roles  
  • Strong technical sales and marketing aptitude
  • Proven track record of developing new accounts with strong technical aptitude and exceptional organizational skills
  • Must be able to quickly learn value of our products to the end customers and be able to clearly articulate this to customers
  • A sound technical understanding in automotive and/or industrial manufacturing processes, industrial automation, test and measurement, and software and hardware systems for quality control
  • A good technical understanding of instrumentation, electrical measurements and sensors would be an asset
  • Must be able to travel a minimum 50%, and as required to ensure successful execution of business plan

  • Highly motivated individual, able to work in a fast-paced collaborative startup environment, drive to meet or exceed sales targets. 
  • Generate new accounts by independently hunting and prospecting, while expanding pipeline with existing customer base, by driving a documented strategic account plan.

  • Solid Automotive industry experience, demonstrable track record of growing business revenues and establishing executive relationships within the account base.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of data science experience using python
  • Strong ML and statistics background
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with keras, tensorflow, and sklearn.
  • Experience with time-series and operations data is an asset
  • Previous Kaggle experience or similar is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Experience using Git in a team environment
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, requirements, and schedules
  • Familiarity with working on remote Linux instances

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of web front-end development experience
  • Strength in User-experience (UX) and User-interface (UI) design
  • Fluency in modern front-end technology including React (with hooks), Typescript, and ES6+
  • Excellent understanding of CSS.
  • Experience with CSS helper libraries such as styled-components or Tailwind CSS

Data Scientist

Job Description

We’re looking for someone that has technical breadth and depth in cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create industry best practices for deployment and management of custom built or off the shelf solutions in a public cloud and/or on premise environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages, i.e. Java, Python or scripting i.e. Bash, PowerShell
  • Knowledge of at least one popular cloud provider (Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
  • Ability to diagnose technical problems, debug code and automate routine tasks
  • Experience with continuous integration and automation services
  • Experience with deployment and monitoring of highly scalable software
  • Experience with securing systems in a public cloud environment via the use of security groups, NACLs, IPSec VPNs, WAFs.
  • Experience with SRE best practices, working knowledge of observability principles is a big plus

  • Provide subject matter expertise for Azure Cloud architecture.
  • Lead the cloud improvements for availability, performance, observability, scalability, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Promote infrastructure-as-code philosophy, leveraging tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Batch, Terraform and Azure Resource Manager Templates.
